Welcome

Greetings Mulvey and Farrell cousins and friends!

Joe Mulvey and Eileen Falcone have been discussing the possibility of having a Mulvey/Farrell, et al, family reunion. We have tentatively set the dates of AUGUST 7,8,9 of 2009 in Cary/Raleigh, North Carolina. This is still in the early discussion stage, but we would like to get the word out to as many people as possible, to see what kind of interest exists for such a reunion. What are your thoughts? More information will follow as it becomes available.

We hope that everyone has a healthy and joyous New Year and a Blessed Christmas.

  1. Hi. Now that we have a blog site let's hope that we can generate some interest in having a reunion. I am Joe Mulvey, son of Francis and Mary (Conlon) Mulvey. Grandparents are Frank Mulvey and Jane Farrell who were married in Leitrim, Leitrim County, Ireland. Married and I visited Ireland in March, 2007. We met all your wonderful Irish cousins and had a great trip. Want to know more and learn about your heritage, attend the reunion. We will have a power point presentation and work sessions on family history.

  3. Hello Mulvey and Farrell family. I am James William “Chip” Mulvey, one of the three sons of Frank and Julia Mulvey from Fayetteville, NC. Like Uncle Joe, I also visited our home land, “Ireland.” in May 2006 where I consumed my share of Guinness, most likely a lot more than Uncle Joe. I was fortunate to meet some of the Mulvey’s and Farrell’s family while I was over in Ireland. I am planning on attending the reunion and getting to know other members of the family. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year…

  10. Hello Mulvey Family, I'm Julia Mulvey, living in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the widow of Frank Mulvey (Joe's oldest brother). I'm truly looking forward to the Mulvey/Farrell reunion. Hope all mine and Frank's Children will be able to attend. I know Beth, Chip and Cathy are definitely planning to be there. Frank and I had seven children...four daughters and three sons. Frank died with cancer of the Brain and Lungs on March 31, 2005 and shortly after on July 18, 2005 our daughter Ellen died from cancer. When this part of the Mulvey family gets together we all talk at once, of course, the Mother does the most talking. We look forward to seeing all of you in August!

  13. Ann,
I have some memory of visiting your parent's home in Port Jervis a long time ago when we were very young. My sister remembers that there was a litter of puppies just born there, and I was crying because we weren't allowed to take one home! So glad you are coming!
