    Is that a house with a thatched roof behind them?Could this be the old house that is still standing on the road near the Farrell's at Ballenwing? (minus the thatched roof now).

    Hi!

    My name is Sheila Murray. I am researching family history. My maternal grandfahter was John Farrell. He was born around 1898 in Gowel, Leitrim. He had a cousin Tessie Farrell, I have lots of pictures of her. Could there be a relationship? His brother "Mikey Farrell" played the fiddle and lived in the family home until he died in the 1980's. He was a well known fiddler from what i am told. John Farrell's siblings were:Patrick, Michael, Mary, Margaret and Nan.

    Any help or insight you can give would be very much appreciated!
