Marianne, Kayla, Joe
Ballinwing

Farrell/Mulvey Family Reunion
County Leitrim, Ireland
July 29 - 31, 2011

Some preliminary activities include; Friday night family gathering, golf at Carrick on Shannon golf club, short river cruise on the Shannon, tour of Kiltoghert cemetary to visit Farrell and Mulvey gravesites, Gowel, Finisklin, and Ballinwing, evening of Irish food, singing and dancing, update on family history, plus much more. It will take awhile to put the specifics together, as well as recommended accommodations. Sometime in September you will receive a hard copy in the mail with further specifics. Your cousin Orla Farrell Beirne (daughter of Willie Joe & Mae) will handle the logistics from Ireland, and I will help handle from here. You can go to http://www.leitrimtourism.com/ or www.enjoyleitrim.com for more information on the area. Joe

  3. I found this web site and was shocked to see the same photos I have of James Mulvey & Anne McGreevy. My Aunt was given them when she was in Ireland years ago. I am a decendent of Mary Mulvey & John Lenaghan. They had a son Bernard who married Bridget Gaffney. My Nana Margaret was their daughter. Kiltoghert was their Parish. Margaret(Maggie)came to NYC in 1916. Love to hear any feedback. Maybe I am a decendent of Catherine's sister Mary.

  4. This is my second posting. My Aunt Marge Hiza said that Catherine's sister Mary married John Leneghan. John & Mary Leneghan had Bernard who married Bridget Gaffney. They had Margaret who came to NY 1n 1916. She listed Hugh & Mary Moffit as the relatives she was going to stay with when she came through Ellis Island. Margaret married Richard Graham. They had three children John, Margaret & Mary. Mary married Leonard Suchy. They had John, Maureen(me) & Nancy. I would like to find birth, marriage & death certificates for my maternal great grandfather & grandmother and their parents going back to Anne & Patrick Mulvey. Can anyone direct me where to go for this info since you found out Catherine's info? Does anyone know anything about Catherine, Mary & Patrick's parents? Also my Aunt Margaret & Mother Mary Graham knew many of the Farrell Family that lived in the NY area.

  5. Hi all,
Wonderful site, I am Eliz O'Driscoll Coburn, My granmother - Charlotte Farrell O'Driscoll was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jane (Dandy)Farrell and was the only memeber of that family to survive. Her father Thomas was a first cousin of Jane's. The addresses all tie up, I have been trying to trace our family tree too. I would be happy to share the farrell pictures I have of catherine and Robert and Mary Jane Dandy. I am also in contact with a realitive of the Moran's, Bessy (Elizabeth farrell was married to Martin Moran - tailor by trade) In the archives from the Leitirm observer I noticed that Martin Attended the wedding of Charlotte Farrell and Dennis O'Driscoll and I wondered who he was and if he had any children! looks like I found the answer - Looks like we are as they say in the circle of life - related! I am based just outside LA in California, but am back in the summer with my family. Would love to say hallo if that is possible! Kind regards
