Elizabeth Quiles and Steve McKenzie: Just Married

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Steve McKenzie, who married on June 29th in New Jersey.  Elizabeth is the daughter of Herb and Jane (Mulvey) Quiles.  Jane is the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Mulvey, and the granddaughter of Frank Mulvey and Jane Farrell.

Here is Jane's comment about the picture:  "The perfect day was presented by the Ballyowen Country Club in Sussex County (Hardyston). The golf course is a replica of St. Andrews in Scotland. The scenery was amazing and the entire staff were great. Most of the guests stayed at the Mineral Springs Resort & Spa and we had shuttle service for them."

Jane and her son Alex, a Marine.  He flew in from Afghanistan to be with the family on this special day.

Christine O'Meara and Bren Larkin - Just Married

Christine is the daughter of Pat and Mary (Mulvey) O'Meara.  Mary is one of the sisters from Ballenwing.  They were married in a beautiful baroque church in Dubrovnik, Croatia on July 7.  Hoping to get more pictures to post.  Congratulations Christine and Bren!

High School Graduation for Mary Mulvey in CA

Thanks to Patrick Mulvey in San Diego for posting pictures on Facebook of the High School graduation of his niece, Mary Mulvey.  Mary's Dad (and Patrick's brother) is Kevin, whom many of us met at the NC reunion.  Congratulations to Mary!

Patrick and Kevin are sons of James "Buddy" & Catherine Mulvey.  Their grandfather, Patrick, was one of the "original"  Mulvey clan in Ireland.

Prize Hat - Pat Mulvey

Pat Mulvey, wife of Bill, (they live in South Carolina), won the prize for best hat in the  Kentucky Derby "Run for the Roses" luncheon for Rally for the Cure. 

Who Remembers Glen Lake?

I think a lot of Mulveys have visited Glen Lake.  We recently had an idyllic vacation at the Glenmore Lodge on Glen Lake.  This was my first time back since a few family trips in the 1960's.  My parents, John & Dorothy Donnelly met at Glen Lake.  I'm happy to say that it is as beautiful as ever!  The inside of the lodge has hardly changed a bit.  We stayed in the Balsam cottage.

The Mulveys had a camp on Glen Lake.  I think this is it and this is Jimmy Mulvey in the 1950's. The sign on the porch says "Camp Weequaric."  Who still goes to Glen Lake?  Wouldn't it be the perfect place for the next reunion?
