Pat Mulvey, wife of Bill, (they live in South Carolina), won the prize for best hat in the  Kentucky Derby "Run for the Roses" luncheon for Rally for the Cure. 

Who Remembers Glen Lake?

I think a lot of Mulveys have visited Glen Lake.  We recently had an idyllic vacation at the Glenmore Lodge on Glen Lake.  This was my first time back since a few family trips in the 1960's.  My parents, John & Dorothy Donnelly met at Glen Lake.  I'm happy to say that it is as beautiful as ever!  The inside of the lodge has hardly changed a bit.  We stayed in the Balsam cottage.

The Mulveys had a camp on Glen Lake.  I think this is it and this is Jimmy Mulvey in the 1950's. The sign on the porch says "Camp Weequaric."  Who still goes to Glen Lake?  Wouldn't it be the perfect place for the next reunion?

Daniel's First Communion, 5-21-12

Daniel is the son of Ursula (Farrell) and Adam Brodie of Paisley, Scotland.  Grandson of Willie Joe & Mae Farrell of Ballinwing.

Rest In Peace Bob Mulvey Sr.

Bob Mulvey Jr., of Pacifica, CA, has informed us that his dad, Bob Sr., passed away on April 16 due to pnuemonia and other complications of his cancer. Fortunately, all the family was with him to say good-bye. Our deepest sympathy to all his family. Here is a wonderful picture of Bob from the 2009 Reunion. We are so glad to have met him again there again after so many years. Bob lived in Manchester, New Jersey at that time.

Labeled "Easter 1952." Correct me if I'm wrong - I believe Bob is first on the left. Jimmy is the 11 yr old. Frankie is the little one. Not sure who is who for the rest - let us know.

Rest in Peace Dorothy B. Mulvey April 21, 1920 - December 3, 2011

We have received word that Dorothy B. Mulvey passed away on December 3, 2011. Dorothy was the wife of the late James Mulvey, who was a son of Frank Mulvey and Jane Farrell. Our deepest sympathies to her son Michael, and daughters Ellen and Jane and all their families. Here is the obituary:

Dorothy (Bennett) Mulvey, beloved wife of the late James A. Mulvey. Devoted mother of Michael J. Mulvey of Milton, Ellen Mulvey and Jane Quiles both of NJ, and the late Peggy Herschel Mittendorf, MD. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Funeral Friday, Dec. 9, from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., Milton at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Saint Elizabeth's Church, Milton at 10 o'clock. Bernadette Mulvey visited San Franciso recently and met with Bob Mulvey Jr. and Bernadette Farrell. From S.F. she went to Las Vegas for the International Toastmasters Convention. She met Sean Jr. and Shane Mulvey for bunch while in Vagas. I am not sure what else she did in Vegas, for as we all know that "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." On August 21 Bernie flew to Raleigh to visit with Joe & Marianne Mulvey, Colleen & Nelson Wixson; Kayla, Shea, and Mitchell, as well as Eileen Falcone. We had a nice social get together on Wednesday, August 23, and were joined by Julia Mulvey and Chip from Fayetteville. It was a nice visit and we all had an opportunity to discuss the reunion and renew fond memories of Ireland.

What wonderful relatives we have!
